    Mental health recovery happens here!

Pathways Learning & Wellness Center

Atasha came to Laurel Hill Center struggling with significant personal loss. Here she reconnected with the joys that make life more meaningful.

She participates in Laurel Hill’s Pathways Learning & Wellness Center programs, where with the help of peer support she works toward educational goals, wellness and creative pursuits.

Peer Support Specialists and in-house classes can help you strengthen your daily living skills, learn how to use community resources, build your education and explore new hobbies. The program offers more than 20 classes, groups and activities on topics such as yoga and social anxiety.

Atasha most enjoyed learning to knit a scarf, as well as seeing the opera performed live on a Laurel Hill Center outing. She hopes to build on her successes by attending a college program for women who are looking for their next career path.

“I’m trying to get my life back,” Atasha said. “Laurel Hill’s been really good to me.”

Pathways is open Monday through Thursday 10am to 2pm, closed Fridays. The classes, groups, and activities are conducted by trained peer staff, therapists and community volunteers. The class schedule changes monthly, so check out the calendar.
